Lov Matt and think sgf is dope as hell but just personally prefer something with a bit more feedback to the press. I think the buttons are sat a bit too low for me but also think i'd enjoy either/both a clicky option or just an option that requires a but more force to actuate.
I generally tend to pref 50gf at a min and would pref even higher usually but I've found myself really enjoying Wizard switches so i might give them another shot with some wizard switches in them. Aside from these not seeming to fit me like a glove I still just think the sampler is an amazing idea and love the level of communication yall afford your community.
Was also sad to see that my gateron low profile chocolate 2.0 switches don't fit their pcb :(
Really love the rugged grip these buttons have. They have a smooth press and don't rub the walls of the button at all. The different button cap options is awesome to have. I look forward to getting a set in the not so far off future.
Withholding 1 star because some of the MX button caps would not sit properly into the mx switches. Had to file them a little bit, which wasn't an issue and honestly always expected with 3d printed anything.
Hey Gary, thanks so much for your honest feedback. I'm sorry we couldn't get that last star, but just wanted to let you know that if you or anyone else has a similar issue in the future, please email support@sgfdevices.com and we'd be happy to make sure that you're taken care of with no extra costs. Even for things that are 3D printed, you should expect everything to work out of the box, and if it doesn't, we'll make it right.
To understand the texture and feel of all the different parts I highly recommend trying the sampler first.
I really enjoyed the feel of all of the buttons and will definitely consider using them in my next build!
There’s a lot of difference in these guys from the typical buttons. So, a sampler pack isn’t just good value but arguably kind of necessary.
I honestly love all three forms of key caps, so having those was just icing on the cake. Figuring out just how incredibly low profile these were helped tremendously and getting to sample the pomzees turned out to be the most important. Initially I was just going to buy these and replace the switches, but the tactiles are so good that I am just going to opt to leave them in full time.
