Many moons ago, apes made a good button. They sat back and admired their work, but then decided we can make a better one. Many more moons passed while they conducted research. Sparing no expense, they accomplished the impossible: the smoothest, most stable microswitch-based button ever made by any mammal.
SGF MonKey B.U.T.T.s (Button, Universal, Top Tier) ULTRA are the next evolution of our award-winning* MonKey B.U.T.T.s. Each ULTRA includes a body, magnetic switch mount, plunger, retention ring, and cap that are laser-sintered from durable PA-12 nylon -- the same material used to make power tools -- as well as a noise dampening o-ring, silky smooth integrated synthetic fluouropolymer bearing, and your choice of industrial microswitch (or buy switchless if you prefer your own).
The MonKey B.U.T.T. ULTRA is available in two sizes:
- 30mm - a drop-in replacement for Sanwa OBSF-30 sized buttons
- 24mm - a drop-in replacement for Sanwa OBSF-24 sized buttons
Switches are available in 3 options. All switches use 4.8mm (0.187") connectors -- ensure your harness is compatible before ordering.
- ZF/Cherry D44X - A solid option often used with similar arcade with buttons. 75gf provides reliably intentional actuation with a notable tactile bump and a satisfying-but-not-too-loud click.
- Omron D3V - A middle-of-the-road option at 50gf, the D3V also has intentional actuation with a slightly lighter tactile bump and slightly quieter click.
-
Honeywell V7 - S-tier for lightness and quietness, the V7 is rated at 15gf!!!
- Be careful wielding this insane power, as the plunger mass reduces all actuation forces, meaning this particular switch can be actuated with roughly 6 grams of force when installed. If you are a masher (like we are), you run a significant risk of ghost inputs. For the most gentle fighters only.
Caps/plungers are available in three distinct surface styles:
- Flat, like the 🦧 original Flatbox style buttons
- Convex, similar to Japanese 🇯🇵 Arcade buttons
- Concave, similar to American 🇺🇸 Arcade buttons
Flex your custom controller with a sharp set of Dressed Up ULTRA B.U.T.T.s in any solid color (or a full art print on your cap). Or show off a set of Nekkid ULTRAs - all-natural, raw laser-sintered plastic goodness.
